My keen sense of curiosity pierces through all my work. I am intrigued and moved by people, their stories, the place/s they call home, and how they make their homes. I was raised by my parents in Bombay, and raised myself in New York, which means I have always been a looker, courtesy all the looking and noticing and seeing there is to do in both cities.

Few activities bring me as much joy as holding a camera, no matter how compact (my trusty Sony Handycam) or giant (the ARRI ALEXA 35 or DJI Ronin 4D). Equipped with both an artistic eye and the technical prowess required of my roles as Director of Photography, Sound Recordist, Photographer, Production Manager, to name a few, I don myriad hats and look quite fashionable doing so (if I may say so myself).

My path to cinematography and editing started 7 years ago with photography, a practice I still hold dear. Over the past 5 years, I have built a vast media portfolio, having worked on short films, TVCs, ad campaigns, and web series with brands like The Metropolitan Museum of Art, Spotify, Facebook, Hasbro, FIT New York, among several others, with clients ranging from corporate bigwigs to mom-and-pop shop owners.

My talents include: rigging a camera to just about anything (or resourcefulness, if you want to be formal about it); critical thinking (ask me my thoughts on The Studio); pulling visual references out of thin air; setting up a complete shot in under 20 minutes (yes, with lighting locked - well, most times…), carrying a gimbal or a steadicam through an 8-hour shift, karaoke as a competitive sport, and documenting my life but never editing the footage (I’m working on it)
